Effective January 3, 2012, the FMCSA placed a ban on hand held cellular phones by drivers of Commercial Motor Vehicles (CVM). They trust that this rulemaking will improve safety on our Nation’s highways by reducing the growing number of distracted driving-related crashes, fatalities, and injuries that involve drivers of CMVs.
